COVID-19 Notice: Nevada County is currently permitting day camps to operate as part of stage 3 of reopening. Shady Creek will be following best practices as recommended by Nevada County and state guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Details of our operating guidelines will be provided in the camper information packets. We will not be running residential camp.


Resident Camp

What is Resident Camp?
Resident camp is an out-of-this-world overnight camping experience lasting five days and four nights. Campers will live in cabin groups based on gender and age, and each cabin group will be supervised by a cabin leader.

$490 per camper
Campers: 4th – 8th grade

*grade camper will entering in the fall

Drop off and pick up info

Resident camp drop off is from 3:00 – 4:00 PM on the first day of the session, and pick up is from 3:00 – 4:00 PM on the last day. All meals and snacks are provided by Shady Creek.

Typical day of Resident Camp:

7:30     GUAM (Get Up And Move) optional early morning play
8:00     Breakfast
8:45     Camp news and the Morning Report
9:00     Morning activities
12:00   Lunch
1:00     Afternoon activities (including swimming)
3:45     Snack
4:00     Camper-choice recreation activities
5:30     Cabin community time
6:00     Dinner
7:00     Evening activities (campfire, night hike, skit night, sunset swim, etc.)
9:30     Quiet hours (younger campers)
10:00   Quiet hours (older campers)
