BECOME A SHADY CREEK NATURALIST
WHO
Shady Creek Outdoor Education Program is operated by the Sutter County Superintendent of Schools for 5th and 6th grade students in northern California.
WHERE
The program owns a facility called Shady Creek located just 11 miles outside of Nevada City, California.
WHEN
Position is anticipated to start in September and end in June. We offer 25 - 30 weeks of program with a winter break.
WHAT
The position provides practical educational experience in a well established environmental education program. Naturalists teach groups of students hands-on environmental science lessons on trail, lead evening programs, run meals and participate in professional development sessions among other duties. Individuals applying for this position should be have a passion for having fun in the outdoors and want to share that connection with others.
