Shady Creek Outdoor School and Conference Center is a 132 acre property located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills just outside of Nevada City in California's Gold Country. An hour and a half northeast of Sacramento, the facility is an ideal location for retreats, reunions, weddings and education programs.
As a full service conference center, excellent meals catered to your group's specific needs are carefully prepared by our Chef and staff. The facilities are environmentally friendly and include architecture designs which complement the natural surroundings. Clients are responsible for providing their own bedding, pillows, towels and toiletries during their stay at Shady Creek.
The property is secluded in its own private valley surrounding guests with a pristine pine and oak forest as well as Shady Creek- a year-round stream that meanders through the property providing a tranquil setting.
The facilities accommodate up to 250 guests and can be rented for the exclusive use of your group. In addition to dining facilities and sleeping accommodations, the property boasts four large meeting rooms (in addition to the main lodge), a large amphitheater, swimming pool, low ropes course, basketball and volleyball courts, lawn areas and hiking trails.
